  1. It is a very beautiful country that is worth visiting! For those who like nature, I totally recommend that you visit Andorra!
The video only shows a part of the country, namely the part related to nature and historical heritage. Andorra is much more than that.
Besides the mountains and landscapes, Andorra is also a country of strong economical activity, namely through commerce.
In fact, the Avenida Meritxell is a good example of this situation since this central avenue reunites in the same place all the major stores: Zara, Mango, Swatch, among other-well known brands.
This avenue as well as other important streets of Andorra are normally full of people buying goods from the above mentioned stores.
You can also spend a good time relaxing in Andorra. You can do this by doing one of the cultural itineraries or simply by swimming in the thermal waters of Caldea, the famous wellness center of Andorra.
Despite all these attractions, the country still has some problems linked with communications, namely the absence of an airport in the country or near its borders.
The development of the means of communication is very important for the growth of the country in the European context.

  2. You are right Daniel! Thanks for your comment! There are many challenges that have to be handled. In fact, Andorra is a country with some problems of access, parking and consequently pollution. I really think that an airport closest to Andorra and a real improvement of the public transports would be great steps to attain sustainability.

  3. I'm a citizen of this beautiful country. And i want to confirm that it's really worth coming here even if it's only for a few days. Most people that come to Andorra only do it to go shopping during the year or skiing on winter. Sadly they don't know a lot of the great places that remain outside the main cities and that would make you enjoy your time in Andorra a lot more. This small country concentrates nature, historical heritage, modern monuments, shops, sports, spas, museums... you can enjoy all this interesting sites without having to make lots and lots of miles to reach them. Of course this country is not perfect, and lacks important infrastructure like airport, more parkings, better roads to access the country... Still our country is working everyday to improve all that, because after all, tourism is the more important part of Andorra's economy. Some people might not like it, other will, of course nothing is written in stone when you talk about personal tastes, but if you ever come to Andorra, take a small time to know the country outside the main city, it's really worth it.

  4. I agree with you. Andorra has plenty of things to offer.
And yes, many things have improved in terms of access and very quickly!
I also think that the fact that Andorra is a country of tourism has many impacts in its culture. Many citizens do not like the fact that when they go to the supermarket the cashier speak in Spanish because he or she thinks the client is a tourist from Spain. (see for example the article in Diari d'Andorra of Montserrat Badia, in http://www.diariandorra.ad//noticies/view.php?ID=8363)

This also affects the use of Catalan as the official language, because Spanish seems to be the primary language of communication between the inhabitants of Andorra and its tourists.
Is Catalan, is the culture of our country being positively or negatively affected by the flows of tourists as well as by the flows of immigrants? What do you think?

  5. I think that the culture of Andorra is totally tied to all the citizens that live on it. And the immigration was actually one of the factors that made it improve a lot. A language is not everything in a country, the culture of a country includes everything that can make it rich. And in my opinion having many languages in our country makes it really rich, and that's why i think tourism or immigrants don't affect culture negatively, it only helps the country and it's citizens to open their minds and learn new things.
